Welder

Trillium Construction is seeking MIG Welders near Batavia, OH. 

Key Responsibilities
•    Perform MIG welding on 10-gauge mild steel and heavier materials. 
•    Fabricate fuel tanks, generator enclosures, trailers, and structural assemblies. 
•    Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and work instructions. 
•    Perform continuous production welding while maintaining quality and productivity standards. 
•    Fit, align, position, and secure components prior to welding. 
•    Inspect welds for quality, penetration, appearance, and defects. 
•    Grind, finish, and prepare welds as required. 
•    Assist with fabrication and assembly operations. 
•    Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment safely. 
•    Perform pressure testing and vacuum testing procedures on completed products. 
•    Maintain a clean and safe work environment. 
•    Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures. 

Pay: Starting at $26 (depending on experience) with potential for a $2 shift differential
Schedule: 40h+ / week
2nd Shift - Mon - Fri
3rd Shift - Sun - Thurs

Qualifications
•    Minimum 3 years of recent MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. 
•    Ability to perform continuous MIG welding on 10-gauge steel. 
•    Experience welding tanks, structural steel, trailers, enclosures, or similar fabricated products. 
•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings. 
•    Understanding of weld quality standards and fabrication practices. 
•    Ability to pass a hands-on weld test. 
•    Ability to pass a tape measure test. 
•    Ability to pass a written welding assessment. 
•    Experience using grinders, measuring tools, clamps, and fabrication equipment. 
•    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
•    Comfortable working on ladders and around overhead cranes. 
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. 

Preferred Qualificatinos
•    Tank fabrication experience. 
•    Fuel tank manufacturing experience. 
•    Generator enclosure manufacturing experience. 
•    Pressure vessel fabrication experience. 
•    Experience with pressure testing and vacuum testing. 
•    Structural steel fabrication experience. 
•    Forklift and overhead crane experience. 
•    AWS certifications (not required).
